Hand Wash Only

Dry Flat

After washing, never wring out your wool sweater. Instead, gently press out the excess water and then lay it flat on a towel to dry. Avoid hanging the sweater, as this can cause it to stretch out of shape. Reshape the sweater while it's damp to ensure it retains its original fit.

Storage

When storing your handmade crocheted wool sweater, make sure it's clean and completely dry. Moths are attracted to dirty wool, so it's essential to keep your sweater clean. Store it in a breathable cotton or linen bag to protect it from dust and pests.

Avoid Direct Sunlight

Wool is sensitive to sunlight, which can cause it to fade and weaken over time. When drying your sweater or storing it, make sure to keep it away from direct sunlight. Opt for a shaded area to preserve the color and quality of the wool.

Pilling Prevention

Wool sweaters are prone to pilling, especially in areas that rub against other surfaces. To prevent pilling, gently remove any pills with a sweater shaver or a fabric comb. Avoid using scissors, as they can damage the fibers of the sweater.
